The plants beautiful grow all over Maine.
The slopes where I get them
are looking out over the ocean towards Deer isle Maine.

The fields contained Blue, Purple,
Pink, & Magenta, and White
Harvested for the 2012 growing season!

Shade variations,
of Blue & Purple pink and white.
These are very hardy plants and have
survived many Maine winters.

If you have ever been to Maine in June
you would have seen these beautiful
perennials growing wild flowers in fields
and along the roadside.

Plant these seeds this fall or next
spring and watch your garden grow.
These flowers will
multiple each year.
Buy just a few never buy again
harvest your seeds in the fall.
They do well in a sunny location.

GROWING
 
Lupines are perennials which blossom in

June every year starting the second year

And continue doing so for many years.

Lupines will flower in late summer of their first year.

Lupines like a moist area with good drainage.

So never plant them where there is standing water.

Banks and hillsides make excellent locations.

Lupines are very hardy, and like full sun to partial shade.

They do not require mulch as they are very winter hardy.

Zones 4 thru 8,

In full sun lupines grow better and bloom earlier.

In the partial shade there blooms will last longer.

Each Lupine will grow larger over the years.

With a height of 30"42",
Lupines make good backdrops for any flower garden.
Running the lawn mower to much will make you old.
So along steeply sloped banks hard to reach areas in your lawn,
Consider planting lupines there.
Flowering lasts the entire month of June.
